Copsa Mica - Blog Action Day

15-October-Blog Action Day-Environment
Copsa Mica is an industrial town located in the center of Romania. It is the blackest town in the world and the most polluted town in Europe. Life expectancy here is 9 years below the average life expectancy in Romania. The black fume factory is closed but the effects are still visible even from outer space. The main pollution comes from the nonferrous metallurgical plant which releases toxic fumes with high concentration in cadmium, lead and SO2. Horses, lambs are dying from saturnism , the entire trophic chain is filled with poisoned substances. Humans are condemned to a slow death.

More information will follow.
